About NACS, Inc.

Mission

The National Accreditation for Colleges & Schools, Inc. (NACS) exists to help schools and colleges all over the country.  Our mission is to have our members offer higher standards for higher learning opportunities for its students.  NACS understands that accreditation is a required element in enabling those institutions to participant in HEA programs.

Goals

NACS goals are to provide guidance to institutions for the continued improvement of their curriculum and to promote a higher educational and ethical standard for the institutions programs.  NACS will monitor the achievement of the programs objectives.  NACS will ensure the public that all institutions accredited by our agency will provide a quality education that will allow the student to meet the needs of the labor market.  Our goals reveal NACS commitment to the integrity and credibility of our accreditation process and its results.  The NACS Accreditation Process seeks to validate the programs job skill training; placement of graduates in the related job market; local, state, and national certification of skills; portability of career skills; and networking among employers and other organizations within the labor industry.

Objectives

The mission and goals of NACS sets the stage of our agency’s objectives for the accrediting process.

  • The requirement of an institutional self-assessment that is analytical and evaluative and an on-site visit conducted by its peers.

 

  • Encourage institutions to review the self-assessment and use them to improve their educational process.

 

  • Ensure institutions policies, standards, and procedures are providing the students with the highest quality, creativity, and performance possible.

 

  • Monitor the quality of institutions programs by establishing guidelines and standards for evaluating their effectiveness.

 

  • Monitor the standards, policies, and procedures developed by the institutions.

 

  • Ensure the evaluation process, policies, managing, and public participation accommodate the interests of the constituencies affected by the accrediting agency.

 

  • Publish the names of all candidates and accredited institutions.

 

  • Enable institutions to qualify to apply for participation in HEA programs.
